Centre of social work is a public institution, founded with intention to prevent occurrence of social distress. If in fact one does occur, it is the role of Centre of social work to take such steps and measures that would lessen the level of individual’s social distress. Centre of social work has jurisdiction in 3 municipal areas: Bled, Bohinj, Radovljica.


Among our staff there are social workers, psychologists, sociologists, a lawyer and other professionals who are trained to assist individuals in social distress.

In our line of work we come into contact with individuals who are just above or below the poverty line, with children and young people with less opportunities, juvenile delinquents, seniors, people with disabilities, individuals with addiction problems, women and children affected by domestic violence and other socially deprived groups.

We are committed to offer assistance to anyone who might be in need of help.

Our services include:

• personal assistance (counselling and guidance)
• assistance to families (counselling and guidance)
